16: The Red Carpet Experience Series: Crafting an Engaging Thank You Page Transcript

Nikisha [00:00:00]:

Hi, gorgeous. How are you? And welcome to leading her way. I'm your host, Nikisha, and I am doing a fun

Nikisha [00:00:08]:

red carpet experience series for the month of May. Now this is something new, but it's new because as I go on my journey of speaking and helping service based professionals make money. I wanna give you some really cool tips on how to do things in your business that can help you. with your potential clients. So the red carpet experience, what is this? What is the red carpet experience? The red carpet experience is giving your client a great journey and experience that is like a red carpet that helps build trust with them. This allows your clients, your potential clients to see the value of hiring you. It's the lead process. It's how to elevate your lead process and stand out from all of the others.

Nikisha [00:01:00]:

in your industry. If you're listening to this, get your pen and notebook out and start taking notes I'm also doing a video series with this so that I can help you by showing it. Now, if you're really interested, in this mini course that I'm offering, I'm gonna give you something for free. There is a summit I am doing called book more weddings summit. Yes. It has the word weddings in it, so you're automatically going, well, I'm not in the wedding industry, so this doesn't help. And I'm telling you it does. Service based

Nikisha [00:01:36]:

are wedding professionals. We provide a service. Yes. We give end products, but the service the experience is everything to our clients. So for this free summit, it's happening August 21st 25th. I'm on the Wednesday. Don't know what date that is. I don't have it in front of me. But When you sign up, it's for free. However, the mini course that I'm giving the red carpet experience, it is offered, and I will give you a link to that. That is offered at a special rate. We have a whole slew of other professionals who are giving you great reach sources, and you're gonna be seeing that on my Instagram feed, on my podcast. I'll have them, and I'm gonna interview them. We're gonna speak about it. so you can know what's in this power pro or pro power pack. And it's something that I cannot express. It has so much value, and it's gonna be so good. It is good. And I wanted you to get an intro to what I'm presenting in my Power Pro Pack. Opral PowerPack. It's one of the others. I'm always getting those words mixed up because you're pee. It's the red carpet experience mini course. Now when you sign up for my mini course, so say that you purchased the Power Pro Pack and you get in, you have no idea, but you're gonna be in my community. You're gonna be in a place where I'm going to show up and help you in your business growth. I'm so excited for something I'm creating because this is all I wanna do. How can I be of service to you? How can I help you? I'm so you don't even know. I'm excited about everything that's happening right at this moment in time.

Nikisha [00:03:15]:

So let's get back. What is the red carpet experience?

Nikisha [00:03:18]:

It's a way to give and build trust to potential clients. Why the red carpet experience? Why not is the question I'm asking. It is these little tidbits, these small simple steps that you can implement today in your business, and you can change the experience of someone coming in and inquiring. You're working on marketing. you're getting all of this traffic.

Nikisha [00:03:45]:

And when they come to you, you kinda lose them on the call. and you're losing them because you're something you're not giving is something you're not showing in the forefront. Business owners, we always worry about the back end.

Nikisha [00:03:57]:

Oh my god. Like, how am I gonna get this feast or famine? Oh my goodness. What am I gonna do? But we're never worrying about their experience they're having with us when they inquire with us. the red carpet experience changes that. It allows you to do these small simple steps to help you Give a better experience so when you're finished with your discovery consultation call, sales call, whatever you call it,

Nikisha [00:04:21]:

they're ready to invest in you. That's why you're going to implement the red carpet experience into your business for the month of August.

Nikisha [00:04:30]:

I'm doing it through the month of August so there's small simple steps you can take and not get overwhelmed. Overwhelm is no longer a thing for you. Get rid of that word. Excited is the new word.

Nikisha [00:04:41]:

So that is why we're doing the red carpet experience. We know the what? Building trust. Now what is included on this red carpet experience?

Nikisha [00:04:54]:

So what we're gonna cover in this month is We're gonna talk about your thank you page. That's gonna happen today. We're gonna talk about your email, the first email you send out, what should it include. we're not talking about a 10 page paragraph or a 23 page PDF. That is not what we're doing in our emails. If you have that, no offense. Trust me. I'm gonna give you some tips that's gonna help you spread that information out. We're gonna talk about preparing for your consultation call. We're gonna talk about the consultation call itself, what to do at the end of the consultation call, what's the offer, what's the next step, and then we're gonna speak about proposal and agreement call. Service based professionals, you are on a dating courting, whatever you wanna call it, experience.

Nikisha [00:05:41]:

This is where you get to kind of give this phenomenal experience so someone could be like, man, that was so good. I'm choosing you. to work with. That's what we're doing this for. So what we're gonna work on today is a thank you page.

Nikisha [00:05:58]:

Let's get into that part of it. The fun part, the intro, the beginning of the red carpet experience. Now when was the last time you sent an inquiry? And I've tested my colleagues and associates and acquaintances and friends' inquiry process. And when I usually test it, I get a couple of different responses. I do it in reform. I get sent to social media pages, so I'll get sent to a Instagram, a Facebook page. And, usually, when I get sent there, I'm like, well, why am I being sent here? I might have seen this already because if I'm your a potential client. I've looked at all of your social media to see if I'm interested. I looked at your portfolio, so why are you sending me here? Right? That's the question I get. Sometimes when I do an inquiry form, I get a this little message that pops up right under their image if there is one on their inquiry or contact page. And it says thank you. We'll be in touch 24 to 48 hours. You'll be in touch.

Nikisha [00:06:57]:

It takes a whole day.

Nikisha [00:06:59]:

And then I go, well, how do I know you received my inquiry? Did it end up in your spam box? Because that happened before, and that makes me so nervous. Oh my gosh. These are the things your potential clients are thinking. Yes. Their experience is a little tainted because they had a past experience with where their email didn't get into the inbox, and they were waiting, like, 3 or 4 days. By that point, they were like, forget this, and they moved on. They don't want that to be the same experience here, so they're kinda inquisitive of did you get it. These are the challenges when we don't have a beautiful Thank you page. That's a landing page to bring people into our world. So let's start with a thank you page. If you're watching the content of the video, I'm sharing that with you guys. And I'm sharing that with you guys because I wanna help you understand the layout because it's simple. A thank you page if you can, it's like your about page. If you don't have a very extensive about page or the top of your about page is a picture and wording, that is all the thank you pages, a image

Nikisha [00:08:06]:

and words next to each other, and that's it. And it's not a full out 10 paragraph page. No. Thank you. It's very short, sweet, and simple. So what it looks like. So in doing a thank you page,

Nikisha [00:08:22]:

what I'm going to do is share with you what are the features of a thank you page and then I'm gonna give you a tidbit of how to create your thank you page on this podcast. However, if you want to actually see how I do it step by step, The mini course provides that, and it provides an action sheet with, of course, the layout fill ins. It has so much more information in context to help you build your thank you page. These are for my people who are like, I need to have a a plus. I have you. I got you back. I'm the perfectionist so I get it. People who are like, I'll figure it out on my own, that's fine. I'm giving you the content. You can do that. Any questions arise, definitely sign up for the free summit and gain access to this mini course to red carpet experience. So the thank you page 1 is gonna have in big bold thank you for your inquiry. It's gonna thank them. For me, it shows me as the brand founder and creative director or the chief business officer. I tell him hi. I tell him who I am. And that is it. And I go, it's a pleasure to meet you. Two sentences, guys. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing more. I don't tell my story what my likes are. Nothing more. They get that from my website. The next thing is I go, I tell them what's gonna happen. I say my assistant's gonna reach out to you in 24 hours if that's for you or for me, it might be 5 or 10 minutes. And I'm gonna and I'm saying we're sending an email to learn more about what you've envisioned for your events or what you need, and that's it in the second paragraph. The 3rd paragraph pretty much has a reminder. add me or add our email to your server, your email server, your Gmail, your Yahoo add us to your contact list. So when we send your email, it doesn't end up in spam. Light bowl moment, of course, tell them what they need to do to be prepared for to welcome you in their inbox in their world. So I give them that so they can add it. And last but not least, keep them in your world a little bit longer. I learned this from one of our colleagues and speakers in this Bookmore Wedding Summit, Andrea. So what we will do in the 4th one liner is add a link Add a link for me, I do stationery, so my link will be to a blog or to a page that tells them how to prepare their guest list the thing that feels so overwhelming to my clients. I tell them how to get the names and emails, put it in, and then I give them a source where they can ask their friends and family to give the information they need so they get the correct information. This is how I keep them in my world. This is how I give value If they don't work with me, they still have this that they're working with someone else, and I'm okay with that. Giving is the best way to earn money. You give wholeheartedly the value and you gain it back in so many ways. So that's what I do with my clients. I'm gonna give them this little value and keep them in my world a little bit longer. Thanks, Andrea, for that gift. And that's the thank you page. That is it, no more, no mass. Keep it simple, guys. So this is the force, paragraphs you can call it if you want to, but the structure of what a thank you page is. Now how do you create it on your page? If you have Squarespace, show it, Wix, what else? Shopify, anything you have. If there's an about page, I want you to go into your

Nikisha [00:11:58]:

back end, duplicate that about page, and then you're gonna rename it to the thank you inquiry and then you're gonna delete everything else. All you're gonna keep is that image, and you're warding next to the image. After that, you are then going to do that construct. that we spoke about. 1 intro,

Nikisha [00:12:17]:

2 sentences. 2nd paragraph, what's next? Guide them. Tell them what's coming. Be forward thinking. Help them to not have to think or struggle or wonder or question you and what you're capable of. 3rd is remind them to add you to their contact list so your email gets to them. 4th, keep them in your story. When you keep them in the store, be mindful not to do your Instagram because they've seen it or portfolio. If you have a process page that's hidden, Share that with them. So you can share whatever you have with them that you already have that might not be to the public. Therefore, you're telling them what to expect. You might even have a page that goes, okay. When we get on our call, here's what we're gonna cover. Here's our process. Small, simple steps.

Nikisha [00:13:09]:

It's not overwhelming at all, but it helps them learn how to start trusting you.

Nikisha [00:13:15]:

Now imagine if it was you going through this experience, and someone did this for you.

Nikisha [00:13:21]:

Can you imagine how well taken care of you would feel? Can you imagine how

Nikisha [00:13:28]:

you would be like, I don't even have to think about anything. I don't have to think about if they received it because I'm gonna set it up so that I get their email. I don't have to think about what's coming next. They told me. I don't have to worry they introduced themselves. Oh my god. This person looks amazing. That's the things that you're creating. And, oh my gosh, they gave me value by giving me something that I can do what I need. Now will they need it? I don't know. But the fact that you gave it, is all that matters because you don't know until they go on that call. Oh my god. That link you shared with me with the guest list, that was so helpful.

Nikisha [00:14:04]:

Thank you so much for that. You already created value for them before they got on a call with you.

Nikisha [00:14:12]:

I can't tell you how much I love giving. When I can give someone value and they walk away going, man, that was so good. I go great. Now they have the opportunity to take that, see that they received, water it with their love, and grow it into whatever they need it to be for them. to get to the next step. That is what the red carpet experience is. I wanna help you build this with your clients. So if you don't mind, I would love to hear your feedback on the first step of the red carpet experience, the thank you page. I am looking forward to knowing if this is helping you. And like I said, today is August 1st. We are starting the red carpet experience. series. So if you're listening to this, I wanna let you know this is what it is. You have 5 days or 5 podcasts of worth of The red carpet experience and how to help you get better. May they extend more than 5 podcasts, it may. I don't know because, listen, When you guys ask me questions, I'm going to show up and answer. And that's why I'm building a community. I have So much I can't even express so much happening, and I'm, like, excited about it. And it's new. And when it's new, it's fun. Because guess what? I'm gonna have my 10 to 15 beta testers who get to come into this area, and they get to help me build it out. and they get to receive so much information because I'm showing up. And I cannot wait for you to experience this. So If it's something you're very much interested in and you're like, oh my god. This is gold. Definitely

Nikisha [00:15:54]:

find that link in the show note. that says register for your free book more weddings summit. Now here's the thing. You're not in the wedding industry.

Nikisha [00:16:04]:

So what? Are you a service based professional? You will gain because all the information we share is about the service, how to improve your services so you can make money. Listen, I am here for all of that, and I'm so excited. So today's podcast was about our red carpet experience, the thank you process, the thank you page. Oh, one last bit. I want you to do this. This is the most important part after you build this thank you page, and you have the construct. You're gonna get the link to this page You're gonna copy it. You're gonna go into your inquiry form wherever you put it. There's this place that says, where do you wanna send your when someone hit the send button, where do you want them to go? You're gonna paste the URL for that thank you page there. You're gonna save this. After you do this, you are gonna go on your inquiry form. You're gonna fill it out because you're gonna test it. and then you're gonna submit it and see how that thank you page shows up. Is everything aligned? Is everything good? Copy and paste this into Grammarly. The free one if you have it. Make sure org your spelling and grammar is perfectly fine. Definitely do that. Also, after you test it, if you can, your colleague, your team member, a family member, can you go go hey. I need your help for a second. Can you definitely fill out this inquiry form, submit it, and tell me how you feel about the thank you page? Tell me your first reaction. You could write a word, what it is, Tell me if it looks good on your page. If you're using a mobile, please test the mobile and the desktop, test it to make sure your client is having good experience. And when you test it, Make sure that link to that. Keep them in your story a little bit longer. Works. Test it. It is the most important part Yes. Creating is great, but you always have to test it to make sure it works, and it can support your clients, your potential client. I hope all of that made sense, and it sounds good for you guys. Listen.

Nikisha [00:18:06]:

Take this knowledge. Apply it to your business one step at a time.

Nikisha [00:18:12]:

My main thing is s 3, small, Simple steps. Thanks, Jim Quick, for that. Limitless. That's where I got small simple steps from. And it's one of the best things you can do. Keep it simple.
